Extra: Torre Alfina (English)

Today we have decided to write an article for those who don't understand Italian and follow us from all over the world.
Today we are going to take a look at the ice cream traditions nearby Rome.
The place chosen is Torre Alfina (Viterbo), a medieval town that soars 600 meters above the sea and lists less than 345 inhabitants. Remarkable of Torre Alfina is the medieval-looking castle, rebuild from ancient ruins by the marquis of Cahenn at the beginning of the XX century.
Throughout its streets many people get the impression of "living the history" as most of the city preserves its original outlook.
In August the noiseless ways of this hamlet get crowded because of the traditional festival of pappardelle (a tipe of pasta similar to noodles) with wild boar.
Torre Alfina is also known for its long lasting pastry making tradition; ice creams made here are sold in nearby shops such as the famous "gelateria Sarchioni" and even abroad.
Ice cream made here is almost sugarless so that it keeps the original taste of the ingredients.
In addiction to ice creams, Torre Alfina is also reputed for the excellent food prepared in  its restaurants.

That's the end for today, we hope you've enjoyed the article and, if you want us to make more articles in English, please comment and tell us.
